sunshine after the rain

spent the whole morning trying to figure out the html codes for linking photos to my blog. i never really learnt html, so i had to read source codes of my friends' blog and figure out the similiarities. haha.... seems like i succeeded. now that i know how to link photos, i'll be working on the other photos i've taken in the last month and post them here.

anyway, those who stay in the east probably woke up to a wet and windy morning. cuddling in my bed till 10am... thinking, "how much rain can a cloud hold?" it rained almost the whole day yesterday, and the whole morning today.

a quick peek out of my window shows that the showers have stopped and the sun is finally out. yeah! at least some sunshine for the cny. although i still have no plans for today (yet). jon's coming back from desaru today. he called yesterday to say it was raining there too... and that must have spoilt any plans they had for the getaway. wet beaches, choppy sea waters, shops closed for the weekend... poor boy. he must have been quite bored. but it wasn't better for me. except for the steamboat dinner last night. whole family went back to my grandparents' home for dinner and that was it. i think cny eve and 1st day took a toil on everyone... i was home at 11pm.

a sense of nostalgia struck me yesterday when i stepped into my grandparents' home. i missed the smell of pineapple tarts my grandma would make... the authentic hainanese chicken rice she would take pains to prepare... even missed just greeting her when i came into the house. everything's different but i will be strong. to hold on to God's promise that i'll see her one day, in a perfect place.
