my views on quizzes

Take the Friends Quiz!

to set the record straight, i don't have a single supplementary card. from either of my parents. they either don't see the need for me to have one, or they just don't want me to come into any clashes with them on my expenditure. anyway, i'm pretty happy with my debit card. at least i can control my expenses better. credit cards are such a burden. you must constantly be mindful of what you sign for, and when you forget, tsk tsk... there goes the same lecture from dad or mum.

actually, come to think of it, i might never be able to apply for a credit card when i am in my current job. because i am not employed by a singapore-registered company, i don't contribute to CPF and thus, no cpf statement. i only have to declare my income tax (arghz! hate the thought of that!). as i was saying, i don't have a cpf statement, hence there is no way for me to prove the amount of income i am receiving. oh... there's this new scheme by one of the banks, that if i have $50k in my bank account, i can apply for a credit card. haha... but i don't have that amount. conclusion: i don't need a credit card. at the moment. period.

someone asked me the other day... "isn't all these quizzes you are doing something similar to foretelling?" (paraphrased because i can't remember the exact words.) the idea behind the whole thing was if using your preference and views to certain issues to connect with "what you are like" similar to prediction? i just want to make it clear. i do these quizzes just purely for entertainment. i do not support astrology (which includes horoscopes), divination (which includes fortune-telling), false prophesy (which includes foretelling of future events), prediction, occult, superstition, sorcery and the likes. i just think the results of these quizzes i take are quite interesting. but i do not consciously or subconsciously take into consideration the results of the quizzes and become more like it. but sometimes the results do make me realise that i have more of this negative trait or less of this positive character. it's more like a personality test. but definitely less accurate.
