can people change?

i have just heard of a girl's life that mirrored me in the past. my life in the past is not something that i am proud of. but hearing such cases make me think - can people change? can people really abandon their lives of wrong-doings and move on to do what is right? but then again, won't the dark clouds linger? won't the past haunt? no! that is the act of the evil one. we shall not believe in that.

but how can i help those who are treading the path i once did? how can i help them to stop before there is no room for regrets? i had the chance to turn back, and i need to help others turn back too. but how can i do that?

people is the answer. besides God, only people can help to encourage and remind. only people can uphold one another and pray. i have to play my part. i have to encourage. i have to remind. i have to intercede. i have to pray.

do YOU believe people can change? i will leave you at this thought.
