pasta and pals

the bliss of working from home. i get to determine what time i wake up, what i want to do first, have brekkie in from of the telly and decide to stay home a little later because it is pouring outside.

but i reckon i have to get my butt out of the house soon. gotta pass some installation CDs to sharon and continue my search of an ensemble to wear to adrian and christie's wedding this saturday. apparently as i found out last night, i was given a new job for saturday. besides being the tea lady (the one who carries the tray during the tea ceremony), i'll have to be the cashier during the dinner. but before that, I NEED SOMETHING TO WEAR THE WHOLE DAY! that aside, yesterday was a nice catch-up day.

early afternoon was spent at chapter 2 with shan. she got this package thing with cut, colour and treatment for $100. helped her choose her colour, hung around then left her to sit there, reading mags for the next hour plus. went over to jon's for a while to look for budget airlines for sharon on monday afternoon. it seems like the coverage for the budget airlines available in singapore ain't anywhere near fantastic. could not even find a direct flight from singapore to penang. anyway, headed with him towards bugis again for dinner.

walked around bugis with the hope of finding something wear to the wedding. walked almost into EVERY shop in parco and the third floor of seiyu, yet nothing caught my eye. i couldn't believe it! i almost had half the mind to grab this $40-something skirt from m)phosis and wear it as a tube top with pants. but i wasn't THAT desperate!

met (in order of appearance) huisi, boss, zihui and jac for dinner at sketches. i was so hungry i had a lamb chop aglio olio pasta. boy was it filling. topped it off with a tiramisu. yum! (still don't understand why jac said she tasted something like almond jelly!) had a great time catching up with one another. "gathering information" about the rest of the class and just talking about insects. everyone looks so tired. i guess it's work that is getting to them. poor things... but nevertheless, we had fun. and i might be catching up with more of you guys at the job fair next week. might just go down with jon... hee...
